Biography

La Milonga began as musical project in the spring of 2013, in Almeria, Spain.  The band emerged because of the desire of each member to express their own musical style while performing with one other.

The origin of their individual styles is diverse, but the common epicenter that unites them is: “La Asociacion Socio-Cultural “La Guajira”. They met there, mingled, and eventually created a beautiful mixture of Rio de la Plata’s tango and bolero with the intense flamenco rhythms and harmonies.

Founding members:

Mauro Rosso (voice and flute)

Antonio el Wity (flamenco guitar)

Hesú de La Guajira (percussión)

Bori Albero (bass)

However, the show that La Milonga is currently offering consists of a bigger one with collaborating artists such as the great flamenco dancer Mayte Beltran and the violinist Borja Sáez, as well as the art and compass of dancer Tony Santiago.

La Milonga, has had the honor of recording their latest album "Tango y Bolero con flamencura" with one of the best jazz trumpeters as the great Antonio Ximenez. Also, we had the pleasure of sharing the theme "Garganta con arena" with the great violinist Jose Velez. Thank you guys ... was a luxury playing with you !!
